Where: North Carolina Furniture Direct 2440 IH 35 South (Exit 202) San Marcos, TX 512-353-2200
Items Eligible: Our guest Appraiser from the Antique Roadshow will be Kevin Zavian.
His specialties are silver, jewelry, clocks and watches.
How many items can I bring? Each person is limited to 2 items.
What happens when I arrive at the store:
You will register upon entering our store. You will be given a registration form to fill out. Then you will be given a numbered ticket which will be announced when it is your turn at the appraisers table.
Will this be
on television? We are filming this event. Your appraisal with Kevin could be used in our future television ads.
The Antique Roadshow will be given a copy of the film we shoot at this event. However this event is not one of their season television shows.
Why is there a limit? Capacity at these events is limited, so in the
interest of fairness we need to limit the number of items to two because of the large number of people who wish to attend the Antique Roadshow Event.
Can I bring a collection of items?
If you have a collection of closely related items ( for example a collection of spoons or a tea set) this will be considered one item. The appraiser will give you a verbal approximation of value based on the collection and not for each individual piece.
What size items can I bring? You can bring any item that will fit through a standard door. You must be able to carry the item yourself. Antiques Roadshow does not provide carts or dollies.
Is there a
fee? There is no cost or service charge for the Antiques Roadshow appraisal. You will receive a free verbal appraisal of up to two items at the event.
Can I get a written appraisal?
Antiques Roadshow only gives verbal approximations of value at our events and does not give written appraisals.
Will you have a specialist for the item(s) I bring? Our appraiser specialties are silver, jewelry,
clocks and watches. We do not appraise coins, currency, stamps or vehicles.
Which appraisers will be at the event?
We have confirmed that Kevin Zavian will be at our event. A list of additional appraisers and their specialties will be available on the days of the event if they are available.
May I bring a camera or tape recorder to the event? No recording devices of any kind are allowed into the appraisal area.
Can I sell my item at the show? No, you may not and no appraiser may approach or
solicit you at the event. You may contact an appraiser at a later date if you wish, but not on the day of the event. There will be appraiser contact information available at the exit of the appraisal area.
